Another Purrfect Fun Day at Bluebell Ridge

Cat lovers are invited to come along and support the Bluebell Ridge Cat Rehoming Centre at their Open Day on Sunday 2 August from 11:30am till 3pm.

This free event is a great family day out and visitors will have the chance to meet the cats at the centre and see the valuable work undertaken there. Funds raised on the day will go towards the animals in their care.

There will be a host of activities to keep cat lovers and children busy, including a chance to talk to our knowledgeable volunteers and meet the cats. There will also be a variety of stalls, including raffles, tombola, home made cakes and refreshments.

We also have some fun games for the children which include hook the duck, find the
treasure, cat and mouse game and much more.

Myra Grove, Cattery Manager for Bluebell Ridge said: Wed love as many people as
possible to come along and support our work. We always look forward to opening our doors to the public on our open days as its a chance for people to have fun while meeting some of the cats that we care for.

Bluebell Ridge is owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings branch of the
RSPCA. It is a separate charity within the national body and is entirely self-financing.
Each year the branch has to raise more than 150,000 so it relies on the support of the public to continue its vital work.

Money raised on the day will go towards looking after cats like Skittles and Bubbles. The pair were abandoned and found on a doorstep, but thankfully they were brought to Bluebell Ridge. Seven year old Skittles and Bubbles are the longest residents at the cattery and they are looking for a nice quiet home to call their own. They are a sweet pair who love a lot of attention and always want a good head scratch. If you would like to give Skittles and Bubbles a home then please contact Bluebell Ridge.

The open day will be taking place at the Bluebell Ridge Centre at Chowns Hill in Hastings.

For more information on the open day please contact Myra Grove on 01424 752121.

Ginger DSH, male, 14 years old approx.Ivan is a dear gentleman who enjoys human company. He was a stray before he came to us and looks like he's had to fend for himself for some time. He would like nothing more than a cosy home to call his own, and a safe spot to snuggle down. Although he can be shy of head strokes, he does really enjoy a fuss with a calm slow approach, and has quite a purr when his engine gets going, with his feet padding away with happiness. He would like a home with an older family.
Black & White DLH Male, 6 years old approx.Oliver is a sensitive soul with a gentle nature. He is gaining in confidence and has become an affectionate lad, rubbing round you when you crouch to stroke him. Although he was very shy when he first arrived, he has found his feet with us and is improving all the time. He will be a very rewarding cat to have around. In a home, he can put his past of being a stray behind him and get his feet under the table. He really deserves to be cared for and cherished, he is a wonderful cat. He would like a home with an older family.
Black and White domestic short haired female, 12 years old approx.Pippa is a kind natured girl and a loveable little soul who lived as a stray before being rescued. She has thrived so much since giving her a warm and cosy bed to call her own and lots of cattery TLC.Pippa deserves to find a forever home which she can call her own. Who ever invites her into their hearts will be rewarded with a loving and loyal companion and friend.
