Bluebell Ridge is still closed to visitors

Although we are closed to general visitors, we are fully open to animals and have remained so throughout the whole of lock-down.

When is Bluebell Ridge opening to visitors?

Safeguarding our staff, volunteers and visitors from the virus is an essential priority and we are currently working remotely with adoptions until a new procedure is put into place.

Can I still adopt a cat?

Yes, our remote process ensures that the animal and adopter are well matched and protected. If you would like to adopt a cat from Bluebell Ridge, please complete our Perfect Match Form and return it to rspcabluebellridge@hotmail.co.uk

Please do not visit us in person - this is a remote process that involves our key workers bringing the animals to you! For more information, contact Bluebell Ridge on 01424 752121 during our opening hours of 11am until 3pm. We are open every day, except Thursdays.

Can you help stray or unwanted cats?

Yes, we are accepting cats into Bluebell Ridge by appointment only. Please contact our centre on 01424 752121 during our opening hours of 11am until 3pm. We are open every day, except Thursdays.

Am I still able to buy things for my pet from Bluebell Ridge?

Yes, we are offering a collection service by appointment. Please call us on 01424 752121 for more details.

Caring for your pet

While there is no evidence to suggest that pets can be carriers of Coronavirus or can become ill from it themselves, your pets may be impacted if you or any members of your family test positive for the virus or are asked to stay at home and self-isolate.

Find out more from the RSPCA about How to care for your pets if you're ill or have to self-isolate due to Coronavirus

Let people know who your emergency pet carer is

In case you need to go to hospital, use the RSPCA's Emergency Pet Carer Form and display at your home so people know who to contact.

Thank you so much from the cats and Team at Bluebell Ridge. We are so grateful for your support at this time. We miss seeing our wonderful visitors and supporters and hope to be able to welcome you again soon.

Ginger tabby and white DSH, male, 3 years old.Oscar is a bright young lad with lots of energy. He is looking for someone who is up for a bit of a rewarding challenge. He needs someone who can offer him plenty of opportunities to play. He loves his feather fishing rod toy and his kickeroo; these really help to reduce his energy levels at the cattery. He is also enjoying his puzzle feeders which get his brain working too. Oscar needs an adult-only household, and somewhere with plenty of outside space available for him to explore.. He will be a great companion in the right home, with no other pets.
Black and white DSH, female, 2 years old approx.Dixie is a poppet with a gentle nature. She is very pretty with her long legs and big ears! She is quite a shy little girl in new surroundings but is very affectionate and loving. She's looking for a quieter, older family home where she can get her bearings in her own time. Once she gets her feet under your table, she will be a friend for life. She's looking forward to a home without other cats as she did not get on too well with others in her previous home.
Tortie & White 8 years old Domestic Long HairedMaple is a beautiful cat in need of a nurturing and understanding friend. She will need an experienced cat person who will give her the time and space to settle in her own time. A careful approach to her introduction to her new home will give her the building blocks she needs to then work on gaining trust in accepting contact. She will need a small quiet settling room to make her own before venturing into more of her new home. Maple will be a lovely little project cat for someone, and gaining her trust will be all the more rewarding. She is looking for that special someone who can accept her for who she is and not expect too much from her. She enjoys company but anything more than this proves too daunting for her. She would best suit a very quiet home with just one or two people for her to get to know, with no children. Available for adoption please enquire. Currently with a Foster Carer.
