Concert raises £250 for Bluebell Ridge

Local singing group Friends Unlimited raised £250 for Bluebell Ridge Cat Rehoming Centre at their concert back in March.

The singing group, 'Friends Unlimited', formed fifteen years ago, firstly presenting civic Christmas concerts. The twelve singers put on a wonderful afternoon of song, which included 'The Harmless Necessary Cat', 'Mr Mistoffelees', and 'Beauty and the Beast'.

The concert which was held at Hastings Museum and Art Gallery also offered beautiful home-made cakes and a raffle.

Myra Grove, Cattery Manager of Bluebell Ridge, said: "We are extremely grateful to Friends Unlimited for putting on such a wonderful concert and raising this money. The money raised will go towards the local cats and dogs in our care. Bluebell Ridge is entirely self-financed so we rely on the support of lovely people like Friends Unlimited to help us continue our vital work".

If you would like to help raise money for Bluebell Ridge then please contact Myra on 01424 752121 or you can visit our Get Involved page for some fundraising ideas.

Black DSH, male, 4 years old approx. Can you give Donald a forever home? He came into the cattery very shy and unsure. He has now turned into a lovely friendly affectionate boy, who loves to head bump with pure affection. Donald will make a great companion who would be better suited to an older family not the very young. Come and visit him.
Black DSH male, 3 years old. Peter has a lot of character and he has been through the wars a bit in his previous life and needs some after care. He has been moved from place to place and would really love to find a caring home where he can be loved and looked after.
Tabby shorthaired 1 year old.Savannah is a lovely looking cat who is very active and inquisitive. She is a friendly girl who also likes to have her own freedom. Would be better suited to an older family without young children.
DSH Black female, 5-6 years old. Hettie is a very beautiful girl with a stunning jet-black coat.  Hettie can be affectionate and playful and also has an independent side. She would suit a home where she can choose the comfort of indoors or explore the outdoors in a large garden. Hettie would like an older family with no young children or other pets, that will give her the time and care that she needs to adapt to her new environment.  She is very sensitive to sudden movements and noise within the home, so would need a quiet and calm home. If you feel that you could give Hettie a forever home come and visit her.
