Run and raise funds for cats in need

Will you be running the Hastings Half Marathon in 2018? Are you thinking about raising money for a charity? If so, please support your local RSPCA Branch.

Bluebell Ridge is owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings Branch of the RSPCA, however it is a separate charity within the national body and is self-financing. Each year the Branch has to raise over £150,000 to keep the centre open and we heavily rely on the generosity of local individuals, businesses and groups.

We help to rescue and rehome over 200 cats in Hastings and Rother every year and we also neuter many hundreds of felines and Bull breeds to prevent suffering.

How You Can Help Us Make A Difference

It doesn't matter how much you raise for Bluebell Ridge, every pound will go towards keeping our work going to rehabilitate the animals in our care before we can find them loving new homes.

Here are some examples of what your donation could pay for:

£25 will pay for vital veterinary care for one cat
£50 will help pay for much needed neutering costs
£75 will provide shelter, food and bedding for five cats, for one day

If you are interested in running the half marathon and raising funds for cats in need, please contact us on 01424 752121 or email bluebellridge@outlook.com

DSH Black female, 5-6 years old. Hettie is a very beautiful girl with a stunning jet-black coat. She is looking for a home where she will enjoy plenty of outdoor access but can also benefit from home comforts and general ongoing care. Hettie can be affectionate and playful but remains unpredictable as she has an independent side, so she would suit a home where she can choose the comfort of indoors or explore the outdoors in a large garden or small holding. She requires an experienced cat owner who can work with her behavioral problems. With time she may possibly become more settled with her new owners and will require attention on her own terms. She is very sensitive to sudden movements and noise within the home, so would be best in a quiet environment without other cats or young children.
Black DSH, male, 4 years old approx.Donald is a shy but very affectionate boy when you sit quietly with him. He enjoys a fuss and attention. He is a ruggedly handsome chap who has been in the wars and if only he could talk, he'd have a few tales to tell. He is healing very well after having a large abscess on his neck, and is very nearly there.  He would suit an older family in a quiet home.
DSH Black male, 2 years old.Matthew is a loving boy who enjoys human company. He is friendly and loves the attention. He can be a little shy at times, but with reassurance, he soon forgets to be nervous. He is a lovely lad who will be a lovely companion.
