Volunteer Fundraising Team Members Wanted

The RSPCA Sussex East and Hastings Branch (Bluebell Ridge) are looking for fundraising team members to join their group to raise awareness and funds for the branch, which can enable them to help animals in need in the local area.

The role is very flexible in terms of the actual activities and will be flexible depending upon the volunteer's skills. There will be big and small projects for members to work on, depending on what members are comfortable with and how many hours they are able to work for the branch. Ongoing guidance and support will be provided by the branch.

Fundraising team members will:

  • Be required to attend our fundraising meeting which happens once every 2 months
  • Develop new and imaginative fundraising ideas
  • Organise local fundraising events
  • Inspire new supporters to raise money
  • Attend events which could involve collecting money
  • Contact local businesses

To find out more, please pop into Bluebell Ridge and speak to Myra Grove, centre manager. Our address is Chowns Hill, Hastings, TN35 4PA. Or you can call Myra on 01424 752121 or email rspcabluebellridge@hotmail.co.uk for more information.

Bluebell Ridge is owned and operated by the Sussex East and Hastings branch of the RSPCA. It is a separate charity within the national body and is entirely self-financing. Each year the branch has to raise more than 150,000 so it relies on the support of the public and fundraising to continue its vital work.

Tortie DLH female, 10 1/2 years old.Bootzie is an elegant looking girl who would suit a quiet and calm house with no other pets, she would benefit from a routine to help her settle. Bootzie is shy and unsure of people and as such would need an owner who understands that it may take her a long time to become comfortable in a new home.
Black DSH male, 10 years old approx.Jingles is a sweet, gentle lad with different coloured eyes, making him very unique. He can be a little shy initially, but when used to his surroundings, gains in confidence and enjoys a gentle fuss. He would make a good companion cat and would ideally prefer one-on-one attention or a calm, quiet household where he can be himself and develop his loving character. He would also like to be the only pet of the household.
Tortie DSH female, 13 years old approx.Mavis is a chatty lady who loves a fuss and a cuddle. Mavis is being treated for a thyroid condition which means she has one tablet twice a day to keep things stable. She is very good at taking her medication which is added to her food. She really deserves to find her forever home where she can receive all of the love that she needs.
