The branch does not have kennel facilities but runs a home from home service and always has dogs urgently requiring new homes.

Please ring Ann for advice, help or to offer a dog a home.

Telephone (01424) 813434 between 10am and 4pm only, 7 days a week.

These are just some of the dogs looking for new homes.

Basil

Jack Russell cross Corgi - 2½ years old. Tri-colour, castrated and innoculated. Ideally suitable for a retired person(s), not with small children.

Ben

Cross breed - dog - 8 months old. Black and tan. He has a black glossy coat and a cold wet nose which goes everywhere. He is excellent with other dogs, children and adults. He loves to sit with his head on your lap. Ben loves to play, eat and to get out every single toy in the toy box. Super dog, going to be medium size when fully grown. Will make a lovely family pet, at present being fostered due to the fact that he was at risk with his previous owner.

Billie

Collie Cross - dog - 2½ years old. Black with white chest, castrated and microchipped. Sadly owner no longer able to look after the dog due to illness.

Jack

Japanese Spitz cross- dog - 7-8 months old. Black and white coat. Super little dog who would suit any one looking for a smallish dog. Urgently needs a new home at present being fostered.

Josh

Border Collie - Dog - 16 months old, Black and white short coat. Castrated and fully innoculated. Having to be rehomed due to owners illness.

Kira

Border Collie - bitch - 8 months old, Black and White. Innoculated and microchipped. Nice young dog, but must go to family without children and who have had border collies before.

Mocha

Labrador - dog - 19 months old, Chocolate labrador. Microchipped, innoculated and castrated. Long legged boy. Super, super dog, okay with children and would make a lovely family pet to anyone who has had labradors before.

Seff

Staffie - dog - approximately 2 years old - Brindle and brown, on the smaller size. Seff is a lovely dog. He was picked up after having been abandoned.

Shumba

German Shepherd - dog - 4½ years old. Innoculated and castrated. Black and Tan, long coated big boy. Due to domestic circumstances sadly having to be rehomed.

Happily Homed Dogs

Solo, a young alsation, in a field of bluebells.

Solo

Solo, a young alsation, found tied up to a lamp-post with twine round his neck.  Very sad, and he was in bad condition. It took some weeks to gain his confidence and re-introduce him to the human race, also for him to realise that some of us were good people.  Well he found good people, a local farm where he has found new doggy friends, huge freedom and mountains of friends.

Libby as a puppy, and Libby as a young dog with her new friend.

Libby

A bag of dead puppies was handed in but one puppy had survived, she was weaned and looked after.  It was thought she was between 4-5 weeks old and a Yorkie!   Wrong, the first photo is Libby at 7 weeks, and the second photo shows her 18 months on with her new friend “Charley”.

Purdii relaxing

Purdii

Purdii was found wandering the streets, cold, dirty and underweight.  He has been rehomed with a lovely family who already had “Tinker” another Yorkie X,  also from the RSPCA, and boy are they spoilt.
