Please note the branch does not have kennel facilities, but runs a home from home service, and always has dogs urgently requiring new homes.
No dogs are kept at Bluebell Ridge, which is purely a cat rehoming centre.
If you are interested in any of the dogs shown below, please contact Ann (our dog rehomer) direct, and she will be able to arrange for you to view the dog. If you cannot see what you are looking for, do still ring Ann who may be able to help as these are just some of the dogs looking for new homes.
Ann's telephone number is (01424) 813434, and Ann is available 7 days a week between 10am and 6pm only.

Archie
Boxer / Staffie cross - Dog - 12 months old - White with Tan patches = size of a boxer. This beautiful dog in his very short life has had 4 owners and there has been some very bad treatment for the boy. He has also been bitten on the ear by another dog which has left him with a war wound! He tens to be nervous of dogs outside but inside he is the most beautiful creature, a lovely nature and he holds no grudges for the treatment he has had in the past. He is being looked after by a lady who rescued him but she cannot keep him as she is living in a flat and has another dog. Archie needs to go to someone who ideally is either retired or has the time and patience that this lovely boy needs. He will give back 100 fold as he responds to cuddles and close affection. He is a big boy, and anybody who has had the boxer breed which we are certain he has in him will absolutely adore him. He loves to run so anybody who has a really large garden or some land will be heaven for Archie. Ideally we do not want to home him with children, not because he is a risk but purely because we feel that he needs one to one attention so ideally an adult family. |

Brandy
Labrador cross Husky - Bitch - 15 months old - Husky colour - size of a large fox - Inoculated and microchipped - just finished her first season. Her mother was a husky and her father a Labrador. She has the sweetest Labrador eyes. Needs retraining as she is strong on the lead. This is the most beautiful dog and a hugely loved family pet. Sadly Brandy has had to come into kennels as her owners are now having to work full time which meant that she was left all day. Brandy suffers from anxiety separation. Brandy loves the people she knows but is very suspicious of anyone she doesn't. We feel that there has been very little socialisation in her life and she needs to be introduced to the outside world very gently. She is a beautiful dog and will give her owners complete loyalty. Ideally we are looking for a single owner for Brandy, ideally a man who can give her the time and the PATIENCE that she needs and preferably someone who understands these beautiful breeds. |

Harry
Border Collie - dog - 8 months old - Black and White, longish coat - castrated, vaccinated and microchipped. Harry is a beautiful looking boy. He has had very little training and must go to somebody who understands this working breed and has lots of time for him. Ideally not with small children. |

Jazz
Great Dane cross German Shepherd - Bitch - 3 years old - colour Fawn - Spayed, Vaccinated and Microchipped. Jazz is the most fantastic home dog and is also brilliant with children, in fact she is hugely loved by her present family BUT Jazz has one blind spot and that is she is not sociable with other dogs, this is a problem when just out walking. Her present owner is working with a behaviorist and this should be continued with her new owner. She is truly a stunning looking dog and would ideally suit someone who possibly has a bit of land where she can have lots of exercise, and maybe has a family with children because she is absolutely perfect with children of all ages. She also needs somebody who can just deal with this blind spot with Jazz because this is truly the only thing she needs help with. |

Lady
Border Collie cross - Bitch - 8-9 months old - Vaccinated and Microchipped. Lady has just finished her first season. Lady was rescued by her present owners when she was just 14 weeks old. She is a lovely little dog and because of the Border Collie content highly intelligent. Her retired owners are finding her difficult to handle and she has become a little aggressive towards them, this could be that her hormones have not settled, but it could be that she needs more stimulation than her present owners are able to give her. Although she is not a pure Border Collie we do feel she needs an experienced Border Colli9e owner who can deal with and understand her lively temperament. |

Nelson
Bull Mastiff cross - Dog - 6 months old - White with Brindle markings - Castrated, Vaccinated and Microchipped. Nelson is a lovely pup! He was bought by his owner just before Christmas but unfortunately his owner has deployed employment in Ireland and cannot take the dog with him so Nelson has been left with Mum and Dad. They are anxious to find him a truly loving home as they have grown to love him in these few short weeks, but unfortunately are not in a position to keep him themselves. |

Rocky
Doberman - Dog - 5 years old - Black and Tan - Castrated, Inoculated and Microchipped - Rocky's present owners have had him since he was 4 months old. He is the sweetest natured dog, a "gentle giant". He is a little overweight but regular exercise will soon overcome this. Rocky is not good with cats so not to be rehomed with cats. Rocky will suit a retired family or an adult family who have lots of love to give this boy who loves to be loved. |

Scoobie
Jack Russell dog - 10 years old - Tri-colour - short legged variety - Castrated, vaccinated and microchipped. Present owners have had Scoobie for 4 months, they rescued him from a rescue centre outside the area. He has not lived with cats but he is the most affectionate of dogs. A dear little fellow that they have grown to love. The only thing is they have a caravan which they visit every weekend and he is not a happy bunny when he has to go there and they feel for his own piece of mind they have to rehome Scoobie where there are no caravan visits involved. |
